Well said. Spiritual bypass is my favorite/least favorite activities. I’m certainly a pro at it. 😁

In our “hashtag gratitude” society, it’s so easy to see spiritual practice as a shortcut, but what the experts often don’t teach you is that you still have to face and own your shit, and clean up your side of the street. Leaning into discomfort and unpacking issues are important parts of the process. Thankfully, some of my spiritual teachers also teach taking accountability for your issues in addition to using spiritual tools. The most effective teachers I’ve found integrate psychotherapy tools with spiritual ones.
