My thoughts:

1. I think that some people come into this world aware that they are souls in bodies and the awareness never leaves. The person is always conscious of it. The soul is strong, like a bright light. Many children are aware of another world until their parents and/or society or lilfe in general rids them of it.

2. The Jewish concept of the soul. (Here's a good article that I looked up after the Hebrew word "neshama" came to mind and I googled it with "soul" : https://www.aish.com/jl/sp/bas/48942091.html).

3. The Jewish Talmud states, "... sleep is one-sixtieth of death; and a dream is one-sixtieth of prophecy."

4. Sometimes mind-altering medication is prescribed based on what society says is "normal" and other behavior is categorized as "abnormal" because it's feared or not widely recognized or accepted. However, maybe some ways of thinking or being need to be normalized instead of worried about. Maybe curiosity needs to replace fear as the reaction. Some people need to be medicated but maybe others need to be allowed to be themselves as they are.

-I hope point #4 makes sense. I'm having trouble articulating it.
